Applications will be assessed in the order they are received. If additional information is required the Department will ask you to provide it within five (5) business days of the request.

If the information is not provided within the nominated timeframe your application may be declined. You may reapply when you have all relevant information at hand.

The purpose of the Gnangara Horticulture  Water Efficiency Grants Program (the Program) is to assist eligible commercial horticultural businesses in the Carabooda, Nowergup, Neerabup, Bandy Spring, Carramar, Cockman Bluff, East Swan, Lake Mungala, Neaves, North Swan, Pinjar, Radar, Reserve, South Swan, Swan Valley, Wanneroo Wellfield and/or Yanchep area (see attached map for detail) to implement water use efficiency and soil amelioration measures on their property in order to manage a 10% groundwater abstraction reduction from 2028 under the Gnangara Groundwater Allocation Plan.

I own, share farm or lease property for commercial horticultural production in the Carabooda, Nowergup, Neerabup, Bandy Spring, Carramar, Cockman Bluff, East Swan, Lake Mungala, Neaves, North Swan, Pinjar, Radar, Reserve, South Swan, Swan Valley, Wanneroo Wellfield and/or Yanchep area (see attached map). * Required
I hold a current water licence or a right to take and use water for my commercial horticulture business in the eligible area and my business has been identified for a 10% groundwater abstraction reduction from 2028 under the Gnangara Groundwater Allocation Plan. * Required
I conduct the majority of my primary production business in Western Australia. * Required
I operate as a sole trader, partnership, trust or private company. * Required
I hold a current Australian Business Number (ABN) and my business is registered for GST. * Required
I am a commercial primary producer (as defined in the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997)? * Required
I am able to make an appropriate contribution to the project

    Information provided by applicants or collected by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) in relation to an applicant or their application may be used in the administration of this Grants Program and in the assessment of this application.

    Clarification of other funding sources for your project as stated in your application and project budget may be sought from the relevant funding bodies.

      Your plan and supporting documents

      It is expected you will have a documented plan that shows how you intend achieving greater water use efficiencies through irrigation and/or soil improvements in your commercial horticultural business in response to the 10% groundwater abstraction reduction being applied to your business from 2028 under the Gnangara Groundwater Allocation Plan.

      A copy of that plan must be provided (including any drawings or other relevant documents) along with quotes for work to be implemented.
