Applications under this Scheme may be initiated by either party (farm/pastoral business or financial institution) wishing to resolve an issue/dispute through non-legal mediation in relation to commercial farm business debt.

Once your application has been lodged and assessed as eligile, the other party identified in your application will be asked to participate in mediation sessions with you. They will be given a maximum of 20 business days to respond to the invitation.

If both parties agree to participate, the Small Business Development Corporation will contact both parties directly to arrange the mediation session/s at a mutually agreeable date, time and location.

Are you seeking mediation in relation to commercial farm business debt that is covered by a formal loan agreement? * Required
Has the business you represent made an attempt to resolve the issue or dispute prior to lodging this application? * Required
Is the financial institution involved in this dispute an Authorised Deposit-taking Institution in Australia? * Required
Is the farm/pastoral business involved in this dispute directly involved in the agricultural/pastoral industry in Western Australia? * Required
Has the farm/pastoral business involved in this dispute been in operation for at least the past three (3) consecutive years as a sole trader, trust, partnership or private company? * Required
This includes farm/pastoral businesses operated under sharefarming or lease agreements.
